White Women Working Together
White Women Working Together is a virtual space for white women, gender-expansive, nonbinary, and other gender fluid folks to gather and work through the ways we experience and perpetuate racism. We use Tema Okun’s White Supremacy Culture and Sylvia Walby’s Theorising Patriarchy as starting points for our discussion; both texts will be emailed to you after registration.
This group meets via Zoom on the third Tuesday of each month, 3:30pm-5:00pm Pacific time. Participation fee: $5.00
Undoing Whiteness [On Hiatus]
I am one of a group of facilitators who hold space for embodied work for white folks at Rainier Beach Yoga as part of its Undoing Whiteness series of workshops. These workshops are not yoga practice; they are spaces where white people can think more deeply about our complicity in racism and reconnect with our bodies as part of an antiracist practice. For more information or to sign up, see Rainier Beach Yoga’s website. Note: I do not facilitate every monthly meeting. If you are looking for an ongoing meeting that includes me as the facilitator every time, please let me know.
